We recognize that SurexCARE operates on the traditional lands of Indigenous peoples, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands. We pay our respects to the Indigenous peoples of this land, past and present, and acknowledge the ongoing struggles for justice, reconciliation, and the protection of Indigenous rights and sovereignty. By honoring the land and its Indigenous stewards, we reaffirm our commitment to building inclusive and equitable relationships with Indigenous communities and advancing reconciliation efforts.
